Dancing Northern Lights

Summary: The continuing saga of the Fielding family that we first met in NEW BEGINNINGS. In this story set in the Canadian frontier in the late 1800s, we follow Sam and Sara as they marry and begin to put their past lives behind them. Sam Fielding has put his days as an unscrupulous businessman behind him. He is now the loving husband of Sara and longs to change many of his past business dealings. Even though he is correcting many of his mistakes it seems that someone still wants to make him pay for them. An attempted kidnapping, a suspicious fire that destroys his home and business, all seem to point to a mystery man who weaves in and out of Sam’s new life like a shadow from the past. Sara Fielding is a known healer in their Canadian town, but trying to have a baby of her own seems to be a wish that will never come true. The haunting memory of her first unhappy marriage and the seven crosses in her family cemetery are a constant reminder to her that her wish may never come true. A past encounter with a Gypsy healer and a new friendship with a female doctor may offer a new hope for Sam and Sara, even as Sam's former life threatens to destroy their new-found happiness. Whether waiting for news of friends entrenched in Riel Rebellion battlefields or praying for the safe delivery of their baby, Sam and Sara’s fortitude is tested once again

She leaned back in the chair, silently rocking, holding her new little son taking in the unique fragrance of a newborn. She closed her eyes and thought back those years trying to remember each special moment. (Back of book).
